We already use SharePoint. Why would we need this?
Having SharePoint switched on isn't the same as having it properly structured. Many businesses use it as an unstructured file dump, which causes exactly the same problems as an old shared drive. We design the structure Microsoft leaves you to build yourself.
Can you migrate files from an old on-premises server?
Yes. We plan and run migrations from on-premises servers, network-attached storage or shared drives, checking permissions and folder structure as part of the move rather than copying problems across unchanged.
How do you stop sensitive files being shared externally by accident?
We configure sharing settings and permissions so external sharing becomes a deliberate choice rather than an accidental default, and can apply sensitivity labelling and alerts for particularly sensitive information, giving you visibility over what's actually being shared and with whom.
Will staff need retraining on where to find things?
