Business Wi-Fi

Business Wi-Fi from NXAPP is designed around your building and how your team actually works, giving staff and guests reliable, secure wireless coverage throughout.

What you get

Wireless coverage that stays fast and secure

Site surveys & design

Coverage is planned around your building's layout, materials and usage, rather than guessing where access points should go.

Guest network setup

A separate, secure network for visitors, kept isolated from the systems and data your business relies on.

Business-grade access points

Equipment chosen for reliability and coverage, rather than consumer hardware stretched beyond what it was built for.

Network segmentation

Different areas of the network — staff, guests, devices — kept properly separated to limit risk if one is compromised.

Performance monitoring

Wi-Fi performance is monitored as part of TechButler's wider system monitoring, catching dead spots and drop-offs early.

Multi-site consistency

The same standard of coverage, security and management applied consistently across every location.

How it works

A clear path from day one.

  1. Survey

We assess your building, usage patterns and any existing coverage issues before recommending a design.

  2. Design

Access point placement, network segmentation and guest access are planned around your specific site.

  3. Install

Equipment is installed and configured, with testing to confirm coverage matches what was designed.

  4. Monitor

Performance is monitored on an ongoing basis, with issues addressed before they affect staff or guests.

Business Wi-Fi

Built around the way you work.

Wi-Fi is one of those things nobody mentions when it works and everybody mentions when it doesn’t. Weak coverage in a meeting room, a guest network that isn’t really separate from the business one, or access points added over the years without any real plan — all common, and all fixable, usually without ripping out everything that’s already there.

What’s included

Business Wi-Fi from NXAPP, delivered through TechButler, is designed properly rather than assembled piecemeal:

  • Site surveys that map coverage against your building’s actual layout
  • Business-grade access points suited to the number of devices and users
  • A genuinely separate guest network, isolated from business systems
  • Network segmentation so staff, guests and other devices are properly kept apart
  • Ongoing performance monitoring to catch dead spots and drop-offs
  • Consistent design and management across multiple sites

Why a proper survey matters

It’s tempting to assume more access points always means better coverage, but placement matters as much as quantity. Thick walls, metal shelving, lift shafts and even the number of people in a room can all affect signal in ways that aren’t obvious from a floor plan alone. A proper site survey accounts for these factors before any equipment is bought, which tends to produce better coverage with fewer access points than adding hardware reactively every time someone complains about a weak signal.

Who it’s for

Offices that have grown without a proper Wi-Fi plan, businesses moving into new premises, warehouses or retail spaces where coverage is patchy, and multi-site businesses wanting the same standard applied everywhere. It’s also relevant for any business offering guest Wi-Fi that currently sits a little too close to their internal network for comfort.

How it fits with the rest of TechButler

Wi-Fi doesn’t exist in isolation — it’s part of the same network infrastructure covered by our network support service, and its performance depends on the connection behind it, covered under business broadband. Treating these together means a slow Wi-Fi complaint gets properly diagnosed, rather than assumed to be a router problem when it’s actually the connection, or vice versa.

  • Coverage designed for the building, not retrofitted after complaints
  • Guest access that’s genuinely separate, not just a different password
  • One team responsible for Wi-Fi, network and connectivity together

Why NXAPP

Because Wi-Fi is monitored and managed alongside your broader network and infrastructure, issues get diagnosed with the full picture in view. A dead spot, a security concern and a slow connection all get looked at by the same TechButler team, rather than three separate suppliers pointing at each other.

FAQs

Questions, answered.

Why can't we just use consumer Wi-Fi routers?

Consumer routers are built for a handful of devices in a home, not dozens of staff and guest devices across an office. Business-grade equipment handles the load and offers security features consumer kit typically lacks.

Can guests use the same Wi-Fi as staff?

They shouldn't. We set up a separate guest network so visitors get internet access without any route into your business systems or data.

What if we have dead spots in the building?

A proper site survey identifies where coverage is weak and where additional access points are needed, rather than adding equipment randomly and hoping it helps.

Do you support Wi-Fi across multiple offices?

Yes. Multi-site businesses get the same design and management approach applied consistently, so coverage and security don't vary from one location to the next.
